1. Check the internet connection

Step 2: Then tap Airplane mode from the menu on the left.

Step 3: Finally, turn off the toggle at the bottom right of the Airplane mode option.

Now connect your computer to a wired or wireless network and check if the Mobile hotspot is still grayed out.

3. Reset network settings

This can also help fix network-related issues that turn grey Mobile hotspot on your computer. Resetting network settings hampers any previous configurations you’ve made to your PC’s Bluetooth, Wi-Fi networks, VPN, and Ethernet connections. Step 1: Start the Windows Run box with the keyboard shortcut ‘Windows key + R’. Step 2: Then type services.msc in the Open dialog and press Enter on your keyboard or tap OK.

This will start the Microsoft Management Console. Step 3: Scroll through the list of services in windows and find ‘Windows Mobile Hotspot service ‘. Right-click on it and select Start.

If you don’t see the Start option, tap Restart.

You will be notified that Windows is trying to delete the ‘Windows Mobile Hotspot Service ‘on your computer.

Then check if the Mobile hotspot is now available on your computer.
