If you don’t want these icons to occupy up space on the taskbar, open Settings > Personalization > Taskbar and click Taskbar Items. Turn off the switch next to the icon you want to remove. You can also remove them by right-clicking the icon in the taskbar and selecting Hide in taskbar.

Hide the Taskbar
Windows 11 locks the taskbar by default, but if you’d prefer it to disappear when not in use, right-click on the taskbar and choose Taskbar Settings. Click Taskbar Behaviors and check the box next to Autohide taskbar.

The little Show Desktop button the right corner of the taskbar still exists in Windows 11, but there is no focus option available.
