The Minister of Customer Service, Victor Dominello, said yesterday that the ServiceNSW application pilot was underway and had worked “perfectly” so far. But it won’t be released until “ideally” October 18th – a date that hasn’t been set in stone. Mr. Dominello said yesterday that it took “two minutes” to define up in his phone. To integrate a COVID-19 digital vaccination certificate with the ServiceNSW app, customers need to have a Federal MyGov account with Medicare linked and the Express Plus Medicare app. The ServiceNSW website lists the app as “coming soon”. Mr. Dominello made it clear yesterday that using the combined ServiceNSW app was not mandatory. “Customers can also use the Express Plus Medicare app, the digital wallet on their phone or a paper certificate from Services Australia to prove your vaccination status,” he said.

So how do I get these other proofs of vaccinations at meat?

One way to prove your vaccination status is through your Medicare online account or the Express Plus Medicare app on your phone. To access the Medicare website and log in, you will need to access your MyGov account, if those accounts are linked. After logging into MyGov, locate the “My Services” section and click Medicare. You will be redirected to Medicare. From there, click on “History and Claims” and then choose “Immunization History” from the drop-down menu. This will bring up your history and your COVID-19 vaccine should be listed there. Once available, a COVID-19 digital certificate will also appear here. In the Express Plus Medicare app, follow the same steps. Log in, under “Services” click on “Immunization history”. Here you can see your immunization history and this is also where the COVID-19 Digital Certificate will be once it is issued. If you are eligible for Medicare, you can add your COVID-19 digital certificate to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay using: If you are using Express Plus Medicare mobile application: If you are using your Medicare account online through myGov: If you are unable to access the Medicare app or any of these online systems, other options are available. Some vaccine providers, including pharmacies, also print certificates of proof of vaccination for people who receive a second dose on site. If you are not eligible for Medicare, you can add your COVID-19 digital certificate to your digital wallet using the Individual Health Identifiers service (IHI service) through myGov. If you are using the IHI service through myGov: If you are using an iOS device, you can use Safari or Chrome browsers. If you are using an Android device, you will need to use the Chrome browser.
