How to Install Edge Browser on Linux – Guide
Gone are the days when Microsoft products weren’t open source and only developed for Windows. In its effort to leave a strong footprint in the Linux market, Microsoft announced in “Microsoft Ignite 2020” that the Edge browser for Linux is available as a development preview. The Edge browser will ship first with Windows 10, followed by Mac OS, X Box and Android. The dev version is considered a preliminary version aimed at developers who want to develop and test their websites and applications on Linux. Any features such as logging into a Microsoft account or AAD account, are not currently available and are expected in future releases. As of now, Edge only supports local accounts. The current version of Edge supports Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora and OpenSUSE distributions. Edge is expected to be available for more platforms in future builds.
