This can be particularly useful for developers who spend a lot of time looking at text, graphic designers who think a piece needs more excitement than Verdana can provide, and writers who have become convinced that constantly experimenting with new fonts is productive. Fonts can be installed on Windows 11 or 10 through the Microsoft Store, Settings, and File Explorer. Each method has its own advantages and disadvantages. Here it is how to install new fonts on Windows 11 through the Microsoft Store.
- Launch the Microsoft Store. Microsoft pins it to the Windows 11 taskbar and Start menu by default, but if you’ve removed it from both places, the quickest way to get to the market is to search for “Microsoft Store” via the Start menu.
- Search for ‘Fonts’ in the top search bar. A results menu will appear, and “Fonts” should be the main result. It’s easy to identify if it isn’t, however, because it has an undefined icon and the caption “Explore new sources”. Click.
- Click on ‘Explore new sources’ button. Microsoft devotes a significant portion of this page to a selection of curated fonts, many of which she designed, so we’ll start there.
