Both versions of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 feature a redesigned frame that allows for a gapless transition from the smartwatch casing to the strap. The crown button has also been changed from a traditional round crown and side button combination to a rectangular one. Despite these subtle changes, the Galaxy Watch 4 pays homage to past Galaxy Watch models. Since Samsung Electronics’ first Galaxy Watch adopted this bezel, it has come to symbolize the product in the same way that the S Pen symbolizes the Galaxy Note smartphone (previously?). – It is as iconic as the S Pen on the Galaxy Note smartphone. Therefore, Samsung’s choice to remove the rotating bezel from the new Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 is controversial. The centerpiece of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is a software refresh that combines the look and feel of Samsung’s existing Tizen platform with Wear OS features. It has a full range of fitness features, long battery life, and a comfortable design. There are some compatibility issues that may frustrate some potential buyers, but primarily the Galaxy Watch 4 is an interesting iteration of Samsung’s top smartwatch formula. As mentioned, both models are available in small and large sizes.
