Although if you are a developer / publisher or just someone who wants to see the source code of a page or any resources implemented on it, you usually do this from the computer. Now iOS 8 has made it much easier to view a page’s resource, assets, and DOM resources. And thanks to great third-party apps with extension support, you can do well in Safari (Chrome is not supported as extensions can only access DOM in Safari). Let’s talk about the two apps that let you view and save the source code for any website when you are on the go.

View Source ($ 0.99) is a simple and powerful app with a Safari extension. It costs $ 0.99, but comes with a lot features Once the app is installed, go to Safari, tap on it Share button, swipe right on the bottom row, then tap More. From here enable View Source. Srcfari
Srcfari ($ 0.99) is an alternative to View Source. While the app shows you the source code and assets such as images, CSS stylesheets and scripts running on the page, you have to do this from within the app itself. There is no Safari extension for Srcfari.
That said, using Srcfari isn’t a bad experience at all. The app has nice typography, and it is much better at splitting assets based on scripts, CSS and images than the View Source app. One problem I have with Srcfari is that it has text wrapping enabled for CSS stylesheets, but not when viewing the entire source (which is what the View Source app does). This means there’s quite a bit of pan and zoom involved, at least on the iPhone.
Other than that, Srcfari is the usual affair. You can copy the source code to your clipboard or email it to someone. You can also save images with the app.
Conclusion
Safari is probably already your favorite browser on iOS (especially since iOS doesn’t let you select Chrome as the default).
